We hope everyone has had good holiday. Here are a few announcements.
Winter Notices
We had an especially cold winter last year. Not sure we’ll see that again this year, but here are a few things to help the cold season go smoother.
- Leave your heat on. Even if you’re leaving for the day or weekend, make sure your unit doesn’t go below 60 degrees. That will help prevent ice in pipes and possible flooding inside your unit.
- Radiator Heaters. We recommend the oil filled radiator heaters for consistent heat that doesn’t dry out the air and don’t have the fire hazard issues of space heaters. Radiator heaters look like this.

- They are available at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and similar places. If you’re unable to get one, please contact us through the maintenance request form and we can provide one for your unit.
- DO NOT Heat with Stove – Do not use your stove as a source of heat for your unit. This is not safe and could cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Use CO Detector – We recommend everyone have a carbon monoxide detector. This could save your life. If you do not have a working one, please contact us through the maintenance request form and we can provide one for your unit.
Test Smoke Detectors
Just a reminder to test the smoke detector(s) in your unit. It’s good to test them a few times a year. We will try to reminder. This is a good time to replace batteries if they’re old. If you do not have a working one, please contact us through the maintenance request form and we can provide one for your unit.
Missing a Toilet Lid?
If your toilet lid is missing or broken, please let us know. We have some extras. We will just need to know what size and we can try to find a replacement for yours. Contact us through the maintenance request form for this also.
Maintenance Request Form
A reminder that our office cannot coordinate repairs on things that they’re not aware of. We have updated our maintenance page of the website with a form that doesn’t require that you log in to the Resident Portal. All maintenance requests must sill be requested in writing. ALL repairs should be requested through that form or through the online portal, not Maria directly. That way our office can coordinate and follow-up on issues to make sure they get completely resolved. We have people to help coordinate the resolution of issues.
