Hi All,

We hope everyone is having a good summer. Here are a few announcements.

Construction Updates

After many material delays due to COVID fallout, the windows have all been updated. Most of the doors have been updated also. The siding is currently in progress and plans are being made to finish out the trim, caulk, and paint the building.

NOT Flushable Wipes

This is a reminder that ALL wipes are NOT flushable. The only thing that should be flushed down the toilet is waste and toilet paper. Nothing else. All other items should go into your trash can, into the dumpster. Per TAA lease standard, all clogs are tenant responsibility and will be charged accordingly.

Disposing of Cooking Oil and Grease

DO NOT pour cooking oil and grease down the drain or outside of your unit. All cooking oil and grease should be left to cool and discarded into your trash can and discard it into the dumpster as soon as possible. Again, per TAA lease standard, all clogs are tenant responsibility and will be charged accordingly. We recommend a covered trash can within your unit to keep animals and insects out. For other grease fat and oil tips and 13 other items that shouldn’t go down your drain, please read more here: https://www.apartmentguide.com/blog/items-you-should-never-put-down-the-drain/

Maintenance Request Form

We have updated our maintenance page of the website with a form that doesn’t require that you log in to the Resident Portal. All maintenance requests must sill be requested in writing. More information on the website: https://www.mohawkapts.com/maintenance/

Pest Control

The maintenance page has also been updated with pest control tips. Please review them. One of the items added is a video that’s helpful on eliminating the food source, which is critically important. We are in the process of enacting a regular treatment schedule. If you need pest control spot treatments in your unit, please submit a maintenance request.

Dumpster Lock

If you were having issues opening the dumpster, we’ve created a video to show you how the lock works. Please do not leave trash on the side of the dumpster or anywhere else onsite. DO NOT store trash outside of your unit.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the link at the top of the page.

Stay cool!
